Day 44 – 365 Things to do in Bellingham, WA – Piano Race, Crafts Sale or Square Dance

Today is Piano Race Day at Fairhaven’s. Dirty Dan Days, get there early for a good spot to wath the race which starts at 4:15 and is faster than you think it will be considering teams are pusing and pulling Piano’s up-hill.

Go to a craft Sale at Bloedel Donovan Park. Just in time for Mother’s Day, a wide variety of local artists and craftspeople will sell homemade gifts. Featured crafts include: fiber arts, mosaics, knitting, woodworking, photography, quilting, metalwork, painting, jewelry, felting, beading, ceramics, clothing, and more. Also included will be a plant sale, bake sale, and used book sale. Several Mother’s Day gift baskets will be raffled off throughout the day (need not be present to win), and complimentary coffee and tea will be provided.

Or – Swing your partner on down to an Old Time Square Dance with live music by Lucas Hicks and the New Five Cents. Proceeds benefit Cascades Montessori Middle School. No experience necessary; all dances will be taught! And come hungry — we’ll have Pel’meni dumplings, bake sale goodies and refreshments for sale. Sunday, April 25, 6-9 pm at the YWCA, 1026 N. Forest St.
